Hi! I’m Sarah
I’m so glad you stopped by to view my artwork and to learn more about me.
I grew up in a family of 5 children in a small town in Florida. Though our home was crowded, there was always room to grow both physically and artistically. My younger sister and I frequently dabbled in the arts and my oldest sister always said that one day I would live in NYC and work as an artist. Of course I always shrugged off her notion, but perhaps it was the seed she planted that began it all.
I studied art in college, then two years in I decided that it was more practical to earn my degree in business. I then took a leap of faith and left home in 2002, and settled north… all the way to NJ. I transferred my part time college job with a nationwide photography studio, and quickly became an assistant manager while completing my studies.

I loved working with families, but the fast paced and cookie cutter style of “mall photography” just didn’t suite my personal taste. So I began searching for something more fulfilling as an artist. It was then that I sought after a studio manager position with Michael Stahl. Michael and I were a great match and the years I worked with him were truly invaluable. Not only was I learning the process of creating beautiful, emotion evoking images, but I was also learning the ins and outs of the business.
Then, as young girls tend to do, I met the love of my life and got married. Getting married is precisely what landed me in Manhattan. So I left my job in New Jersey, settled into Manhattan life and my husband and I started focusing on a family. In 2009, our first son was born. It was such a change to have this little angel in our life and I soaked up every moment of it. Of course, I couldn’t stop taking photographs of him! After about two years of being a stay home mommy, I couldn’t suppress my natural desires to create art. I then decided to venture out into this amazing city to help others document their most important memories, creating Natural Kids Photography.
It wasn’t long before our family grew again and we were blessed with two more boys! So, I suppose it’s also natural that I have a personal connection to photographing boys and all their boy-ness, energy and spunk. Some of my clients lovingly refer to me as “the boy photographer”.
Aside from being thankful for my loving and supportive family, I’m also a bit of a coffee addict connoisseur. I can’t resist cotton candy, big moist & fluffy vanilla cupcakes, jumping in puddles, and daily dance parties paired with toddler karaoke!
